Principle Overview
The thickener is mainly composed of two main parts: the circular thickener and the rake scraper.
The solid particles suspended in the slurry in the thickening tank settle down under the effect of gravity, and the upper part becomes clarified water, so that the solid-liquid can be separated.

Mud deposited at the bottom of the concentration pool is continuously scraped by the rake scraper to the bottom of the pool center discharge outlet, while the clarified water is discharged by the concentrator along the upper edge of the pool.
The clarified water is overflowed from the upper edge of the thickener.
