A lantern ring is a ring or sleeve around a rotating shaft with a hole in the ring to force oil or grease to the bearing surface.

It is made of tetrafluoroethylene plastic，designed to reduce leakage of water sealing function, which plays a good role in protecting the packing and bushing, reduces losses, can improve the operating efficiency of the pump, and has a good sealing effect, which can prevent air from leaking into the pump. In particular, the lantern ring has cooling and lubricating functions, which can cool the pump shaft to prevent heat generation, and is often used for packing seals and impeller seals.
