The neck ring is a mechanical seal between two objects. It is usually used to prevent pressure, corrosion and natural thermal expansion and contraction of the pipeline between the two objects. It is the main seal to prevent the leakage of the medium. Since the machined surface cannot be perfect, the use of neck ring to fill in irregularities is an important part of the expeller seal assembly.

Neck Ring function:
· Press and hold;
· Prevent packing deformation and damage;
· Make the pressing force uniform;
· Centering and guiding of stem movement;
· Help with sealing and lubrication.
